Cutleri is an all-female trio from Brooklyn, NY who play a blend of experimental and folk music. Cutleri is very chameleon-like, and these ladies have been known to veer off into sea shanties, chamber music, and raucous rhythms. Instrumentation includes violin, clarinet, banjo, mandolin, percussion, theremin, glockenspiel, typewriter, and many other unique sounds. Stripped down, bare bones American folksong, performed with great charm and soul by three young women from New York. Banjo or ukulele plays the chords, while fiddle, harmonica, xylophone and what-have-you interpose themselves decoratively below the lovely harmony vocals. Intelligent, literate, heartfelt and humorous music, well worth seeking out.
