Live Unsigned was a born of a frustration waiting to be solved.
We just want to know where the good small gigs are! I’m not interested in paying heaps to see mainstream acts at O2 or Carlsberg sponsored palaces of glitz.
Live music afficionados like us tend get to know the scene of our home town or city alright, but when you move or travel it’s another story. Finding out the knowhow on where to go and who to see can be quite a mission. Often enough you just tend to be on the flagging end of stale recommendations, or find yourself reduced to roaming the streets and searching the back of pub toilet doors looking for posters that havent been ripped down or onerously removed. And where you think you’d find the information – the world wide web, it’s lacking - a worldwide key repository is not there or if it is it’s not doing it’s job well enough!
The need for a clean and simple central worldwide listing spot focused on worldwide unsigned bands and small independents was apparent, and that is what Live Unsigned.com hopes to be.
No fuss or frills or forums or tons of miscellaneous data and tools and facts you don’t need. Just a quick summary of the artist, a sample track and a google map to help you find the show.
Posting shows is quick and easy, plus the wiki feature keeps things open and editable so content stays up to date.
Ustreams had to be included. Wherever ustreams are happening, these are accessible via the listing too.
Translations are available for German and Italian versions of the site. When there’s demand for more we’ll try our best to respond!
So give it a go, post a show, or find one to go to for dinner! Oh, and please let us know your feedback!
