Awards and educational bursaries for young musicians, mainly aimed at the classical world, but including popular music.
Cash funding, opportunities and support for young people working in creative fields, including music.
Funding 11-21 year olds in community development projects, which could include musical performances, outreach activities, facilities etc.
Support for amateur music projects, which could include bands starting out with aspirations to earn a living later.
A very successful recording studio, which runs a regular live event for unsigned artists, ‘Power Down’.
Musicians’ Benevolent Fund
Financial assistance for musicians and their dependants in times of crisis, and also support and creative development for young artists.
The Musicians’ Union
Subscription based membership, but huge amounts of information, advice and support, including free insurance.
PRS for Music Foundation
A charitable arm of the live royalty collection organisation, funding new music in all styles.
A performing arts venue in London that also offers a huge range of facilities (recording/ rehearsal studios included) to artists 25 or under, for £15 a year.
Sound And Music
Funding for new music: awards based on creative merit, so not for the generic or mainstream.
Supporting new urban music, channeling ArtsCouncil funding.
Providing children and young people with access to a range of music related activities, which includes developing talent, and employment opportunities for musicians interested in education and outreach.
