Death metal is getting a bit debased these days, especially since the metal mainstream seems to have engaged in wholesale pilfering of DM’s vocal techniques. The real deal has a certain intensity that’s hard to fake however, and an approach to riffery that combines the heaviest effects of thrash and groove. Miasmal are particularly fine exponents. They’ll blow your brain out of your ears.
