Live Unsigned was set up by music lovers and makers who got annoyed not being able to find a simple list of gigs for unsigned acts online so decided to make one.

Live Unsigned is a special place for unsigned and non mainstream acts to promote their shows and for those not looking to surf through lists monopolized by bigger name artists in order to find interesting unknown acts.

This site aims to be as "no frills" as possible - it simply allows users to post and find gigs easily and quickly.

With or without an account you can:

• Search/Browse shows by Country, Region or town
• Filter results by date, week or tag
• Sample the music of who’s playing

Once you've created an account you can also:

• Watch ustreams of live shows where available
• Comment and contribute to artist and venue profile pages
• Create an artist listing
• Create a venue listing
• Post up a show
• Edit any listing

Live unsigned doesn't boast long biographies, extensive image galleries or lists of songs, but provides just the essential information to help you decide whether a gig is your cup of tea or not.

The strapline "Gigs for dinner" has unfortunately confused a few people. What we mean by it is just a bit of fun. Our message is don't stay in, don't go out to a restaurant, why not go out to a live show and eat some music with your ears!
